Art of protest a rich archive of political moods

Lismore Regional Gallery’s Kezia Geddes has curated an expansive survey exhibition of protest art that spans from 1967 to today, and manages to contextualise beautifully the protest culture that exists in the Northern Rivers.

The work of these artists, including Chips Mackinolty and Therese Ritchie who were members of the Earthworks Poster Collective, is well represented, and given context by the co-presentation of US-poster artists (including Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s War is Over poster, and New York feminist collective The Guerrilla Girls).
