Fashion and Pueblo Version 2013

Objective workshop:

It works in a creative process, criticism and editing of texts for each student and from a collective work in the writing workshop.

He delivered basics and theory as contemporary authors to bring them to the creative process, as each student concerns.

Publication of an anthology of poetry, with all participants of the workshop, the book is a book with a specially designed object under the Independent Editorial Fashion and People.

Participation in collective action art or poetic intervention, as part of the art collective and coordinated fashion and Pueblo literarily and visually according to the concerns of the students in the workshop. The final work will be displayed as visual recording at launch of the book, as the end of the workshop.

This workshop aims to form a bond of closeness between art and life, from the leaders of the culture of today, brought to poetry, streets, daily life, concerns, and personal aesthetic tastes, from the soundtrack, films of life, to pop references, bringing them closer to literature from a number of literature delivered during the workshop, authors that are difficult to access, some more oriented worship and bring new perspectives on contemporary Chilean poetry and other related foreign which are vital for the formation of any young writer, it will seek to make a special aesthetic approach as each of the students, from women poets, poetry Queer, critical and theoretical texts, linked to gender or contemporary art, as art actions , performance, photography, music and more. Until other references giving a new look current fundamental works of Chilean poetry from Huidobro, Parra, Neruda, Mistral, rockha, Teillier, LHIN, Zurita, Maquiera until breakthrough scriptures from the narrative as Diamela Eltit, Maria Luisa Bombal, Jose Donoso and Carlos Droguette.

Workshop Methodology:

Delivered during each class a photocopy with literary texts that responds to a theoretical exercise. After a little discussion is assembled around the theme used.
There will be a reading of each student in their texts, and students must assemble a critical judgment from technical versus text read. Finally the workshop director delivers a reading exercise technique and invites the author to correct, if necessary or finish editing the text for your next publication in the final book.

Diego Ramirez Gajardo (Ottawa, 1982) is a writer and journalist, makes a Masters in Gender and Cultural Studies in Latin America at the University of Chile (2012) and studies in the Diploma of Journalism Cultural and Literary Criticism, U. of Chile (2009), Feminist Studies at the University Arcis (2010). and Development of scripts for television series CHANNEL 13 – UC of the Catholic University (2009). The derivation of the First Prize Gabriela Mistral Literary Games of the Municipality of Santiago at age 17, and Creative Writing Scholarship Book Fund of the Ministry of Culture on 4 occasions (2003-2005 – 2007 – 2012), and grants as Pablo Neruda Foundation, Mustakis Foundation and the National Library, the emerging as one of the most prominent poetic voices of his generation. His publications are “Corazoncito Night” (2002), “The Children Dancing” (2005), “My Crime” (2009) and “Brian, the name of my country in flames” (2010). His interests point to the relationship between literature, visual, and performance audiovisualidad, editing various works in the form of book-objects and carrying out actions and interventions in sites in the city of Santiago, on an individual and collective mode. Because of this, he has taught workshops in Literature, and Gender and Performance in the Cultural Corporation Balmaceda 1215, aimed at young creators. At present the project is developing literary “The Fury of men”. (2013)
